A Kubera alternative for your monthly net-worth review

Try PopaDex when you want to review accounts, property and debts across currencies. Standard offers free manual records in one consistent currency; Premium supports ongoing records across currencies and optional supported bank sync. Keep Kubera on your shortlist if its specialist portfolio tools are part of the job you need to do.

Published by PopaDex. Sources checked September 12, 2026. This is a documented comparison, not an independent hands-on review of a paid Kubera account.

What do you need the tracker to do?

A place to record an asset is not the same as an automatic valuation, a transaction ledger or a performance calculation. Use those distinctions to decide what you would lose by switching.

Documented capabilities, not a hands-on performance score
Requirement PopaDex Kubera
Review current net worth Manual records in one consistent currency on Standard; ongoing records across currencies and supported bank connections on Premium. Connected and manually entered wealth tracking. Verify important connections in the product.
View several currencies Original account currencies and a reporting-currency view. Check a GBP/EUR example. Its currency entry documentation covers foreign-currency amounts, crypto quantities and stock symbols.
Model future scenarios FIRE planning tools with explicit assumptions. Not a return guarantee. Fast Forward models possible portfolio paths using user-defined rules. It is incorrect to describe Kubera as having no future-planning tools.
Value specialist assets Use manual valuations where appropriate. Direct wallet sync and equivalent automated collectible appraisal are not verified capabilities. AI Appraiser estimates values for assets such as collectibles and property. Estimates still need judgment.
Represent trusts or nested entities No verified equivalent to nested entity portfolios or automated fractional-ownership accounting. Nested Portfolios links separate portfolios and is a Black feature. Do not assume trial access is included in Essentials.
Arrange emergency access No verified equivalent to Kubera's inactivity-triggered handover. Couples sharing has separate requirements. Dead Man's Switch provides an inactivity/check-in workflow for sending data to an emergency contact.

For daily transaction budgeting, start with the wider app comparison or the PocketSmith comparison. A net-worth dashboard may not solve that job.

Test a smaller workflow before moving your portfolio

  1. Name the reason to switch. Lower subscription cost, less manual maintenance and a simpler monthly review are different needs. Identify the feature you currently rely on most.
  2. Keep your existing records. Retain exports and statements before trying another app. PopaDex does not promise one-click Kubera migration or equivalent historical performance reporting.
  3. Reconcile a current snapshot. Start with a manual asset and a debt, then add a second currency if relevant. Check the total against the same-date balances. Our worked balance sheet explains debt signs and conversion.
  4. Check the hard accounts. Test your important institution and account type before choosing Premium. Keep a manual fallback for unsupported assets. Do not count the same account twice after connecting it.
  5. Review it again. Update or verify the balances at the next review. Stay with Kubera if a feature you would lose matters more than the lower bill.

Moving history is a separate task. The current monthly CSV import restrictions include a fixed EUR-only asset format and possible record replacement. An export from another app is not automatically a compatible import.

For two-person sharing, PopaDex requires Premium and enabled encrypted vaults for both partners: €10/month total at the current web price. Read the household counting and permission checks.

What we checked, and what we have not tested

Kubera facts come from the official links beside each comparison row and its current product and pricing page. Features can change. We have not measured its sync reliability, tested every institution, or independently assessed its security.

PopaDex claims follow our published plan terms, source checks and documented workflow tests. Read the encryption scope and limitations; this comparison does not establish a security winner or a country-of-hosting advantage.

Corrections are welcome through our editorial policy. No customer outcome or migration success is implied by the fictional examples.

Questions before you choose

Is there a free alternative to Kubera?

PopaDex Standard offers free manual records in one consistent currency. Ongoing records across original currencies and supported bank connections require Premium. Standard is a starting point for reviewing balances, not a feature-equivalent replacement for Kubera's specialist portfolio tools.

How do PopaDex and Kubera prices compare?

PopaDex Premium is €5 billed monthly on the web. Twelve monthly payments total €60; that is not a separate annual-plan offer. Kubera lists Essentials at US$250/year and Black at US$2,500/year. These prices use different currencies and billing terms. Check each checkout before paying.

Can Kubera model future net worth?

Yes. Kubera's Fast Forward feature models future portfolio scenarios using rules and assumptions. PopaDex also has a FIRE calculator. These are different planning workflows, not evidence that either product can predict returns or guarantee a retirement date.

Can I move my Kubera history into PopaDex?

There is no verified one-click Kubera migration. Keep your exports and supporting statements. Start with current manual balances in PopaDex and reconcile them before moving history. The existing monthly CSV importer has a fixed EUR-only asset format and can replace records.

Will the same banks connect in both apps?

Do not assume so. Availability depends on the institution, country, account type and connection provider. Check your most important accounts in each product. A directory listing is not proof of a successful connection or complete historical coverage.

Is this an independent hands-on Kubera review?

No. PopaDex publishes this comparison. Kubera statements are based on its public product and help pages checked on September 12, 2026, not an independent paid-account test. PopaDex claims use our documented product checks. We identify limitations rather than claiming feature parity.
